WallVision designs, manufactures and sells high-quality wallpapers almost all over the world. The vision is to become the internationally leading supplier in the premium wallpaper segment. This in turn places very high demands on quality, efficient production and delivery reliability. As part of this work, WallVision has invested in an integration solution that reduces manual work and provides a clear effect in several ways. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n In close collaboration with Connect Companies, WallVision has chosen to move from using a separate system for ordering and production control of digital wallpaper printing to a solution fully integrated with the Jeeves business system. The solution, which is based on Connect Companies software, has provided increased automation, which has meant that the work from order to delivery has been significantly streamlined. <\/p>\n\n “Our previous system was maintenance-intensive, inaccessible and involved a lot of double registration. Today, we instead have a solution that links the order process directly between the web and business system. This gives us significant time savings and fewer sources of error. At the same time, we create the conditions to work more with digital printing,” says Terese Larsson, IT manager at WallVision. <\/p>\n\n Working with digital wallpaper printing means that an image file needs to be converted into wallpaper webs. It is a rather demanding process that can now be managed and done directly in the business system. With Connect Company’s software CAIE and CCWA, the business system and production machines can now communicate in real time. When a wallpaper is ready, a signal is sent from the printing machine to the business system. <\/p>\n\n As printing machines become better and better, the trend towards a larger proportion of wallpapers printed with digital technology is also favored.<\/p>\n\n “The majority of our wallpapers are still manufactured using traditional technology, but we see a clear interest and great opportunities to work with digital printing. In addition to the fact that an integration solution and digital printing technology streamline and simplify our own work, we can now give our customers fast and secure information about where each order is in the process,” continues Terese Larsson. <\/p>\n\n With the new integration solution, it is also possible to outsource work so that it is handled directly from the subsidiaries. For example, the operations in England can now effectively manage and overview their own orders in a completely different way than before. <\/p>\n\n “Today we have the conditions to allow digital production to grow. Now that we are introducing another printing line, it is considerably easier than it would have been with the previous solution that was built for one production line.” <\/p>\n\nDigital printing is on the rise \u2013 also for wallpaper manufacturers<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n
